I have been craving for TGIF’s buffalo wings for weeks now and finally caved in and decided to cook some up myself! They were incredible and I’ll never be returning to TGIF – they are such a rip-off!This recipes was created by an absolute genius, I would do a little pooja for him if I ever met him.

- 750 grams chicken drumlets
- 750 grams chicken winglets
- 3 cups of Coke Zero
- 1 cup of Habanero Hot Sauce (I found it at Doncaster Shopping Centre)
- 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon Gourmet Garden Basil paste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Maggi Hot and Sweet sauce
- Pinch of salt
- 50 grams butter
Heat the all ingredients except chicken in a large pot. Stir well (careful not to splash around, the hot sauce will KILL you if you get it into your eyes). Once the sauce starts bubbling, add the chicken and stir well. Cook uncovered on a low heat until the chicken looks half cooked. Remove sauce from heat.
Remove chicken, lay out in a single layer on a tray and grill until brown. Drop the wings again into the sauce. Coat well. Grill chicken again on the other side until brown. Remove chicken, dip in sauce again. Repeat this process 4 or 5 times. For the final grilling session, lay out the chicken and spoon any remaining sauce on top and grill well to finish off. Enjoy!
